What do the live feeds say right now?
As of 6 October 2026, 03:40 UTC, the newest data time among the live pages, they show 16,622 active satellites in orbit, 38 earthquakes in 24 hours in USGS's magnitude 2.5 and above feed, a latest planetary Kp of 3, a first asteroid close approach in JPL's list at 16.44 lunar distances (2026 TP1), 1 active storm in NHC's basins, 244,215 satellite fire detections in 24 hours, 11,143 active Starlink satellites, 1 current GDACS event with an Orange or Red alert, a next rocket launch planned for 7 October 2026, 03:23 UTC (Nuri | NeonSat-2 to 6), a best viewing window tonight in Pune from 19:30 to 06:05 local time and the ISS at 45.2° N, 116.4° E. Each row below gives the time of its own data.
What is notable
- GDACS lists 1 current event with an Orange or Red alert (earthquakes left out): Drought in Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Belarus, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany, Denmark, Spain, France, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Russia, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, San Marino, Ukraine, Orange.
- A launch is planned in the 24 hours after the launch list's time: Nuri | NeonSat-2 to 6, 7 October 2026, 03:23 UTC.
- Tonight's best viewing window in Pune is 19:30 to 06:05 local time, with 8 percent cloud in MET Norway's forecast.
A row is listed here when its data shows an earthquake of magnitude 6 or more in the 24 hours, a latest Kp of 5 (NOAA's G1 level) or more, a current GDACS event with an Orange or Red alert, a launch planned to the minute or second in the 24 hours after the launch list's time or a best viewing window tonight in Pune. These checks are ours and are not warnings; each page explains its numbers.

How these numbers are made
- Each number is worked out by the same code as its page, from the same feed, and the time beside it says what it is: the time given in the feed, the time of a Kp period or of the newest advisory or detection, or for asteroid close approaches (and storms when none is active) the day our collector read the list. For GDACS events it is the time of GDACS's newest update. For rocket launches it is when our collector read the list. For tonight's sky, the time is MET Norway's forecast time for the city. For the ISS, the time is the satellite data time. It is never the time this page was built.
- Each page has a limit on how old its data may be: earthquakes 3 hours, Kp 8 hours, storms 12 hours, fire detections 8 hours, asteroid close approaches 48 hours, satellite data for the Starlink page 30 hours, GDACS events 6 hours, rocket launches 6 hours, the cloud forecast of the sky pages 6 hours and the ISS page 30 hours. A page whose data is older is not updated and is not linked from here.
- Nothing here is a forecast of ours or a warning. Each page names its source agency and links to it.

Questions
How fresh are these numbers?
Each has its own data time in the table. The newest is 6 October 2026, 03:40 UTC and the oldest 5 October 2026, 23:58 UTC.
Why does a page show no number?
Its data was older than the page's limit, or was not available when this page was built, so the page was not updated. Its last copy may still be on the site, with its own data time.
